Perfect (Rivaille x Reader)

Today was a special day for the two of you. The day when you two finally become parents.

With one last push, you gave all your might to bring your baby into this world.

And then...

You heard a baby's cry. Your baby's cry as she was being cleaned up by the nurse.

"Congratulations Mr. Rivaille and Mrs. ________! You got a baby girl!"

Tear welled up on your eyes as your husband, Rivaille squeezed your hand. You lay in the hospital bed after long hours of labour, tired and exhausted but your maternal instinct gave you a little strength enough for you to take a peek on your child before darkness consumed your vision.

You woke up the next day, still feeling sore from child birth and a little groggy. A gentle breeze coming from the window brought a withered leaf on your lap. You slowly lift yourself up and reached for the leaf as you fondly smile at the memory.

'That's right... It was this time of the year..'

After the last battle between the titans, your corporal gave you a note to see him at the lone tree in the hill behind the headquarters.

As you step outside, you were istantly greeted by a gush of wind

'Ahh... So windy..'

As you near the rendezvous point, you saw him leaning his back against the tree.

"Hey... Rivaille..." You greeted as you approach him.

"Hn.." He took a glance at you then back to the scenery befor him.

You leaned your back against the tree beside him, "Something wrong? You only call for me here when something is on your mind."
Then you sneak up a glance on him.
"The battle is over you know, no life will ever be lost by titans starting today.."

"Cadet do you still remember what I promised you here?" He asked in his usual tone.

"Oh... " You murmured. Every time you thought for that memory, you can't help but blush.
'That's right... He promised to marry me once it's all over.'

"You're blushing cadet I can tell," He gave you a chuckle.

"Thanks for stating the obvious," You replied.

The next thing you knew was he was on his knees with a ring on his hands. The scenery surrounding you was just like went into slow motion. The dried brown leaves dancing along the wind.

"(Full name), would you gave me the honor to be by your side for the rest of your life?"
His face, you've never seen him to be like this. He was happy, not smiling but you can sense that he his.

You took his hands on your and grinned, "Yes Rivaille!"

Present

Rivaille came in with the baby in his hand, "How are you feeling?"

You gave him your best smile, "A lot better. Still feeling a bit sore though."
Then you looked at the bundle of cloth in his arms. "She's perfect.."

"She is, just like her mother."
